jgoens
Mavericks is running well except I do not have sound nor do videos play. I downloaded a post install pack: http://wiki.osx86pro...10.9.0#Gigabyte for my Mobo but looking through the items in there I'm not sure which to use. It appears to be designed for a new install. Are there general kext that are used? Also, was wondering if there was a way to select OSX or windows without having to specify in BIOS which HD to first boot off of everytime. When I go to the realtek download part it takes me to a page full of codes. And another one took me to a site that I need to sign up for. There are many many links here and I'm lost. owbp
@Hangten, that link needs decryption key. Sorry..don't understand what I have to do here. When I go to the realtek download part it takes me to a page full of codes. And another one took me to a site that I need to sign up for. There are many many links here and I'm lost. Go to first link, click View Raw option and it will download .command file, that you need to open with terminal.

jgoens
Any news on GPU model? Btw, are you using HDMI from Radeon or Intel HD 3000? I really don't know. Maybe that tool you recommended will tell me. I plug the hdmi into the graphics card. In the windows system I had to download the driver for my card for it to work. I will try all the things we talked about in a couple hours when I get back..hoping to have something solved today:)
owbp
Ok, some reports from OSX86 Project, are saying that HD6850/6870 works OOB with GraphicsEnabler=Yes (some say to disable Intel GPU in bios and set graphics to PEG) and one says that it works with GraphicsEnabler=No. So try all of that. Also, tell us what your org.chameleon.boot.plist looks like.

Tried changing a setting in bios from an Auto to enable if no PEG exists. I don't see an option that specifically sets it as PEG. Graphics Enabler=yes..to change that I would have to use boot right? Might have a risk on no boot right? @Hangten, that link needs decryption key. Go to first link, click View Raw option and it will download .command file, that you need to open with terminal. I downloaded the Megasink application..without Clover will it work? BTW..another odd thing when I hit restart or shutdown the OSX goes off but the computer(fans/light) do not go off. I have to manually turn it off and restart it. The windows system works fine. Also, checked DVD player and it says a valid DVD player could not be found. Someone who did an update to Mavericks a while back did this: Thank you! kextload didn’t work for me the first time, but it did work the second time: ~$ sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext Password: ~$ sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) link error; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8). ~$ sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext ~$ My sound is now working! This is on a real..not sure about that..don't want to screw up where I've gotten.
