naujoks
Hardware: Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark S 4790k CPU 16GB DDR3 1800Mhz Gigabyte Geforce 980 GTX Ti Creative X-Fi PCIe Soundcard A bit to my surprise, as I didn't see any reports on this board's suitability, everything is working fine on this board. I had a working Yosemite install on this machine, Clover install. I'm using the ASMedia ports, as I'm using the Intel ports in RAID mode for my Windows partitions, meaning that those drives are not visible for Mac OS. Booted into installer from a USB stick, chose upgrade. Installed latest Nvidia Web drivers. The only kext needed in the 10.11 was the FakeSMC, ethernet and Voodoo sound driver. iMac 12,1 sys definition. Runs without problems, including all USB ports. oSxFr33k
I have a question for you. In the Bios Under Advanced CPU Power Management do you see an option to enable/disable CFG lock? Its the MSR lock/unlock feature in earlier Z97 models that had this feature. Not sure if they made it available on your model? If so the Mark 1 and 2 should have the same Bios. Edited: Never mind. I found out it is an option for most newer Asus Boards and for sure an option for Mark S and Mark1 and 2.
