Quandril
In many of the tutorials i checked out people are refferring to their processors as 'Haswell' or "ivy bridge" and other names. I'm kind of a newb to all this... confusing me hehe my processor is a core 2 quad qq6600 what would the name be that i have to use when applying a tutorial? it said kentfield when i used an app to identify it... but i never see it in any tut. Also i used the "tape over 2 dots on the qq6600" overclocking method for this processor hence the reason it being 2.99 GHz does this matter when making the hackintosh work? Hope someone can help me Peace
Jimmiegin
Hey man the Q6600 is a "Kentsfield" CPU I think. Your CPU name does not matter as you don't really need to refer to any kind of CPU specific tutorial for a Core2. I shouldn't worry about the pin mod affecting any thing...... Though I am not an expert by far! Whats your config?
