The process is pretty straightforward for anyone who has taken some time in creating proper OEM config with clover for the Mavericks.

Assuming that you have your EFI partition mounted as /Volumes/EFI

0) Download the Yosemite installer via appstore

1) Download latest clover official release, in my case in the time of writing it is v2k_r2850, taken from sourceforge.

2) Download latest FakeSMC and sensor kexts, again, in my case in the time of writing it is 6.11.1328, taken from sourceforge.

3) Get the modified ALXEthernet, if you had not used it already (available in the forum downloads)

4) Place newly downloaded FakeSMC, sensors and ALXE under /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/OEM/Z77-DS3H/UEFI/kexts/10.9/ replacing already existing

5) Upgrade clover by running the downloaded package installer and before hitting the restart button, as a precaution run "sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/*" from terminal to erase all kext caches.

6) After booting back to 10.9 copy /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/OEM/Z77-DS3H/UEFI/kexts/10.9/ as /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/OEM/Z77-DS3H/UEFI/kexts/10.10/ so you will have all the settings and kexts ready for Yosemite

7) Before proceeding further make sure you have enabled clover GUI before system boot and that you have set appropriate timeout, say 5 sec or more. It is required to change the boot volume upon installing Yosemite

8) Run the Install OS X Yosemite Beta.app from the Applications folder, at the end it will ask for a restart, proceed.

9) After clover GUI is loaded, choose the Install Mac OS X partition, not the system one. It will try to boot you to the installer, and if all the kexts in OEM of EFI for 10.10 are good, the installer will boot.

Installation took about 25 mins on my machine. After installation is finished, it will restart automatically.

10) At this point it should boot you to the updated 10.10 without a problem. If for some reason Network or Sound do not work, erase kext caches again as in step 5 and restart.
