Register and make a request.. follow the instructions and everything :)

Well I feel that this is a much better solution than disabling the IGPU in BIOS, since Windows will still be able to use it (quicksync and extra outputs).

That's what I'm using! I just wish there were a way to use 1 less kext/hack.

Seems like I spoke too soon. Damn thing just reverted back to a nonfunctional state (same problem as always, display doesn't initialize). No changes in files or updates to blame.

??? strange....check that your DSDT with GFX0 removed is loaded..

 

boot with -x (assuming you still can) and use something like DSDTSE to extract your DSDT on OS X. If you don't get your patched DSDT when you do that, then it's not being loaded..for some reason..

 

Other than that I can't think of anything...? As I said I have the luxury of not having this problem so I never had to look for a fix for it...
