PC won't shut down with Mavericks 10.9.2

Hey guys,

I have a PC that I built about 7 years ago:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz

P5Q PRO Motherboard

8GB DDR2 RAM (4x2GB)

1TB SATA HDD

I have just recently installed Mavericks 10.9.2 following the guide from this forum. It's with Chameleon. My PC won't shut down completely now. Monitor, LED lights and the rest will go off but fans are still spinning which is a bit annoying. I tried different kexts, no luck. I thought that the problem could be either my USB MIDI keyboard or FireWire SoundCard that is constantly connected to the PC, but it wasn't that. I ran out of ideas now. Has anyone had similar issues? Any possible fixes? Help much appreciated.

HI Ramalama, i've the same problem!

Same mobo (p5q pro) and maverick. I've an edited dsdt (it worked without problem on Mountain Lion). Yes i have a wifi dongle (d-link dwa125) and i've installed the drivers made by dlink (i've found them on the installation cd, but they are for snow leopard; when i installed them on mountain lion they didn't give me any problem).. What should i do? thank u so much   ;)
