NimbusLaw
I installed Mavericks and all went well. Used my own DSDT. Tried to disable the Nvidia 740M, fiddled with the DSDT and managed to disable it (i think, it's not showing up in system info) Using the HD4000 and here comes the problems. Whenever i start my laptop, it loads till the apple logo and after that the screen just goes black. I know that it works with full QE/CI because I'm using it now with an external monitor, i tried everything came to my mind but i can't figure out how to make the internal monitor work, can someone help me? Another thing, thought its's minor is the fact that i can only boot trough the USB Installer and not directly from HDD. System Specs: CPU: i3-3317U GPU: HD4000 + GT740M Chipset: HM76 Other specs you need? Please help me, I can't figure it out DSDT - SMBIOS -Bott.plist.zip
Laberlohe
Hello and welcome! Looks like you are using wrong framebuffer. Solution should be noted here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/291614-intel-hd4000-and-haswell-inject-aaplig-platform-id/ Good luck! NimbusLaw
You mean the IntelCapriFB value? Tried with all 12 values, none works
Laberlohe
Yep, I meant them... Afaik aren't not all notebook display connected via LVDS, some newer models use eDP - which isn't supported. Which bootloader do you use? Chameleon or the other? Your ocB.plist contains values for Chameleon and (maybe) Chimera. I've shortened it a bit... (use with Chameleon 2266+) <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1366x768x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>IntelCapriFB</key> <string>9</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SkipAtiGfx</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SkipNvidiaGfx</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> Maybe you will retry the IntelCpriFB-values - there is possibility they interferred with the Intelinject-ig... aankun.ganteng
I got the same problem last time with my Asus N56 (HD4000+GT650m) What I do is delete all the nVidia kext, that works for me. Remember to backup it first, just in case. Hope it helped
