    Version 1.3

This is a simple Applescript app that will back up the AppleGraphicsControl.kex to your desktop in a folder called KextBackUp. It will then patch the /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext/Contents/Info.plist and change "Config1" to "none" for the MacPro6,1 board ID. This ensures that your GPU will not be effected by the MacPro6,1's AMD FirePro device policy that causes your GPU not to send a signal to your monitor at boot. This app is only useful if you are using the MacPro6,1 system definition. Credit to PikeRAlpha: https://pikeralpha.wordpress.com/2014/05/01/os-x-mavericks-10-9-3-build-13d55-seeded/

    Ati 5470

Hi guys, I have a problem. After install the kext of ati 5470 my laptop doesn't show nothing, only a black screen. I can solve a problem only if i attach a monitor vga (the screen will be show on the display laptop not on the second monitor) or i need to start with bootflag GraphicsEnabler=No, but in this case the QE/CI don't work and the resolution is not bigger than 1024x768. Anyone kwow the solution? Sorry for my bad english Bye
  3. I'm using Lenovo E320 with HD3000 integrated graphics, it's screen turns black during startup or installation. OS X 10.7.3 - 10.8.2 versions. I discovered that to replace the AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext in S/L/E by the one of Lion 10.7.0 can solve this issue. I think this solution may help in 10.8.2 and some laptop models too. I would like to know other solutions, wish you would share your experiences. More details of the above issue: Hardware: Lenovo E320, Intel i3-3250M, HM65 Express Chipset, HD3000 integrated graphics Symptom: Lion 10.7.0: both install and bootup without problem Lion 10.7.3 - M. Lion 10.8.1: 1. built-in LCD screen turns black during startup or installation. 2. if a monitor is attached with HDMI port, both built-in screen and HDMI monitor work fine all the time
  4. Hello everyone! This is a new user to InsanelyMac, although I've built my Hackintosh long ago with the information on this forum But it seems like the problem I encountered has no solution posted here, I would like to share my solution to that. I have an i7 6700k, a GIGABYTE Z170 motherboard (though these two are not important at all in this problem), and a GTX970. I recently updated my Hackintosh from 10.11 to 10.13.1 (I think it should also work for 10.13) through App Store. The system was successfully installed, but I found that it was impossible to log in the system with my GTX970 plugged in -- it always led to black screen (no signal) before the login screen was shown. There are some discussion on InsanelyMac, but none of the solutions proposed worked for me. Here are my experiments: Since I am using iMac 15, 1 SMBIOS, I manually modified the AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext so that it would not use the "Config2," or I can't even boot into the system with my IGFX (as we all know, it causes black screen / no signal before login). AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext is NOT the cause of the problem in my case, although they have the same symptom; before using this solution, check your SMBIOS and AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext. I also put Lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext in my Clover, but since they do the same thing as manually modifying Info.plist, I don't think it really matters here. In case of installing a broken Web Driver to my Hackintosh, I enabled SIP before the installation of Nvidia driver. It seemed like it worked: the first time I installed the Web Driver with SIP disabled, as well as after I accidentally removed a kext from /S/L/E and broke the driver, it produced a "gIOScreenLockState 3" problem. One of my guesses: the "gIOScreenLockState 3" is due to a broken or disabled (i.e. forgot to add NvidiaWeb in Clover config) web driver. NVwebDriverLibValFix.kext has no effect. It changed nothing but caused reboot before login when I was using IGFX. At last, I tried injecting a fake ID for Nvidia (0x00000000) and it WORKS! Go to "Devices" section in Clover Configurator (if you use it) and put 0x00000000 to "NVidia" in the "Fake ID" section, or modify the text of Config.plist like this: ... <key>Devices</key> <dict> ... <key>FakeID</key> <dict> <key>NVidia</key> <string>0x00000000</string> </dict> ... </dict> ... Then save, reboot. It should work if you have the same problem with me. Hope this help. If you have any question, leave a reply. I would be glad if I can help someone solve the problem.
Boot.plist est le suivant : <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Boot Banner</key> <string>No</string> <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(0,2)</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDAEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDEFLayoutID</key> <string>7</string> <key>Hide Partition</key> <string>hd(0,3) hd(1,2)</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>nvda_drv=1</string> <key>KeyLayout</key> <string>pc-fr</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Rescan</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/Extra/SMBios.plist</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>1</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0000000001010600011c0101060000007fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001</string>
  6. First. I was able to install Yosemite using the niresh 10.10.1 image. The only flags i used was npci=0x300 and -v. After when i try to boot Yosemite i end up getting black screen after it load all kexts. Here is my desktop build: Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 Amd-Fx 9370 Msi GTX- 960 2gb So i only have the gtx 960. no IGPU. i use and used these flags: npci=0x3000, -v, nv_disable=1, -f(gives me a "not a intel machine, restart fix not applied error without it), graphicsenabler=yes(and used no also same results), nvda_drv=0(and tried 1 with same results). If i don't use the -f flag it says i have an unsupported card even before it starts loading the kexts, so that doesn't work. When i do use the -f flag and either to enable or disable my graphics driver or card(also tried not using the flag at all) it loads the kexts, but still black screen. Simply it breaks down to this: Both I have to use npci=0x3000 cause I have a Asus motherboard. Without -f, and with all possible nvidia flag and graphicsenabler flag combinations. Output: Doesn't recognize my graphics card as supported, "not a intel machine, restart fix not applied error and have to restart. With -f flag and with all possible nvidia flag and graphicsenabler flag combinations. Output: Passes the supported and fix check and loads kexts but as soon as it boots darwin, black screen, no restart though. The kernel i am using is: bronya_kernal_10.10_rc7, dont think its causing anything as verbose isn't panicking. Is there something i'm missing? i can obviously load graphics from my card since I was able to install, but cant seam to boot into it. I just need to simply boot so i can install the quadro driver for my card. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

  8. Hey Guys I desperately need help, and before you advice me to search web, I should say in my defense that last 3 days the only things I did were multiple re-installation of OS X with different sets of kext selections and tweaking with commands before system boot(found on web) - nothing worked for me so far. Now about my problem - I have a following setup: --- Tecra A10 Notebook 4GB DDR2 of RAM P8700 C2D Processor 2,53Ghz Nvidia Quadro NVS 150M OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion v. 12С54; Darvin/x86 boot v5.0.132 - Chameleon v2. 2svn r2140 (Installed from iATKOS image) --- Problem is that I can't figure out why my graphic card doesn't want to work properly. Installation is successful, however when system boots, it either panics with a message to restart the pc or black screen is shown, however sound is playing, which indicates that system is not in panic. In case if I enter nv_disable=1 key before the system starts, system successfully launches, with sound support of keyboard and mouse drivers. And it would seem that what else I should be worried about - why am I complaining? Well, it's lags in browser and other graphic applications - that's my concern. I am unable to scroll normally in any browser(be it Safari, Firefox or Google Chrome), and if I click 'Notifications' button on the system bar, right menu with lags and red lines is shown up for 1,5 seconds, after which it disappears. I did some research, and found out that it's VESA mode I am using, when I enter key nv_disable=1 and it causes all of lagging. I can't use system normally with such problem, and I desperately need some OS X version that will work without such problems or an advice how to fix this problem for ML 10.8.2 - my job depends on this. If anyone can help me with some advice - please do. I also should say that the reason I chose the iATKOS image is for it's Chameleon boot - I am not fond of Clover, and it's too complicated with it's tweaking. If you need any screenshots from console during the system boot, I will gladly provide them.
  9. I installed Mavericks and all went well. Used my own DSDT. Tried to disable the Nvidia 740M, fiddled with the DSDT and managed to disable it (i think, it's not showing up in system info) Using the HD4000 and here comes the problems. Whenever i start my laptop, it loads till the apple logo and after that the screen just goes black. I know that it works with full QE/CI because I'm using it now with an external monitor, i tried everything came to my mind but i can't figure out how to make the internal monitor work, can someone help me? Another thing, thought its's minor is the fact that i can only boot trough the USB Installer and not directly from HDD. System Specs: CPU: i3-3317U GPU: HD4000 + GT740M Chipset: HM76 Other specs you need? Please help me, I can't figure it out DSDT - SMBIOS -Bott.plist.zip

Hey guys i tried to install mac Lion to my vaio VPCCB15FG i applied a smbios.kext from a macbook 8.2(closest motherboard) and also removed all video drivers except intelHD and ATI6000 drivers and their buffer & support.-(i removed intel GMA ,ATI, Nvidia, etc). I also initialized the Duckweed frame buffer ( <string>Duckweed</string>) in the org. chameleon.boot.plist only to get the installer USB working!!!. after i complete Installation, upon reboot the screen shows apple logo loading screen flashes blue for a sec and goes black!! My laptop has VGA and HDMI outlets only and both did not work. Here is my configuration Intel® Core™ i5-2410M Processor 2.30 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.90 GHz*1- 3MB L3 Cache MD Radeon™ HD 6630M / Intel® HD Graphics 3000 4GB Ram any help would be appreciated
  11. Hi guys, I have a AMD Radeon HD7850 GPU in my Intel hackintosh build. The issue with it is that when I use Clover's FakeID to spoof it as a supported card, after it says "GPU HW <something>" from the kernel, the screen will assumably go black, and then nothing is displayed when I assume the login screen is displayed. I have tried testing all the ports on the card, from DVI, HDMI and the 2 Mini DisplayPorts through a MiniDP to DP adapter, but it seems that the GPU is outputting to some odd output, or just giving a black screen. The only way to rescue the machine is... and I'm sorry to say... the reset button. My configuration is a ASRock H81M Motherboard, with a HD7850 2GB HIS GPU (Real ID in Clover = 6819, Spoof ID = 0x68181002). Parameters used: FakeID [ATI] = 0x68181002 (set as per Clover wiki) InjectATI = True FB Config = Futomaki (is this even needed? Tried booting without this set, still the same black screen) Ports = 5 (Default setting, but I only have 4 Ports) I really want to use the GPU on the DVI Port. Is there a way to say to the card that I want it to output to the DVI port, or which output I want to use? I appreciate the help, this is driving me nuts, but this hackintosh has worked mostly out of the box with a few mods to the kexts to enable audio, etc.

Vaio users black screen after boot

Hi everybody ! let's start from the worst part : I have a vaio laptop :/ and looking for informations about my problem I could see that a lot of Vaio users have the same problem : Black screen after boot. What works on my laptop 1 - Wifi (internal) - Kext wizard 2 - Sounds 3 - Trackpad - Kext wizard 4 - Keyboard 5 - Bluetooth - Kext wizard What does NOT work: 1 - Internal monitor 2 - Advanced things that I don't know and someday will appear...hehe I need help from someone with knowledge in DSDT to try to patch my motherboard and make the internal monitor work properly. I could make a donation to this user that MAKE IT WORK (I promise). "Para brasileiros fica mais fácil de eu transferir algum dinheiro que eu ache justo, por favor não espere muito, pois é complicado..rsrs" I can send my DSDT and or any other system related file that you guys need to performe the patch. Hint: The hdmi out video and vga out works great with ce/qi perfect. But the internal monitor seems to be dead. It does not turns on not even praying! I already talked to Rehab and he said the does not know much about nvidia cards patch. I think we need to mod the nvidia driver and make a dsdt to make things work properly. Please let's help Vaio users. Also I want to share the DSDT code if you want this with other vaio users. Thank you guys. Keep in touch !

Accetto qualsiasi consiglio! Grazie a tutti! Allego cartella Extra e ioreg. MBP 8,1.zip
  14. Hi everyone, I have been trying for a while now to install Mac OS X El capitan 10.11.4 on the Sony Vaio VPCEB1M1E with limited succes. I am using Clover (latest version) The biggest problem is no LVDS detected and the notebook has a blackscreen as soon as OS X starts. I have created several config files, and if I disable Inject ATI i can login to the system without QE/CI. Wi-Fi works, AR9285. So I installed teamviewer, reboot, enable ATI config, got blackscreen, but logged in with teamviewer and QE/CI is working. I created an IOREG this way with IORegistryExplorer 2.1 and I have also attached my entire EFI partition, all unpatched ACPI tables are included. I think the problem is wrong connector info. Have tried several different framebuffers, Hoolock, Orangutan, Vervet, all give blackscreen on LVDS. Device ID: 68c1 There are several config files, config4 is the bootconfig I used to make the IOreg. VGA is not working , have not been able to test HDMI (yet). Here is my entire EFI Folder: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ig134fl6pdq193a/Archief.zip?dl=0 I found the following topics about the problem and there only seems to be a chameleon solution: http://yun.baidu.com/share/link?uk=3355666171&shareid=42351891&third=0&adapt=pc&fr=ftw http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/248751-mobility-radeon-hd-5650-qeci-work-262-update/ http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...d5000-and-hd4000-series-support-in-chameleon/ http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...vds-qeci-1600x900-need-help-with-personality/ I hope someone can solve this. GTX 285 Black Screen

I've searched the forum but I haven't noticed that anybody have issue like this. Supermicro X8DAE motherboard Dual Xeon (8 cores, 16 threads) NVIDIA Geforce GTX 285, 2GB VRAM (DVi, HDMI, VGA) MacPro 5.1 Smbios definition I have installed Yosemite W/O any major issues but than came to a problem that I can not solve. What ever I do, if I boot normally, I get black screen/s. And I'm not talking about "DVI Signal Not Found" - I get black screen with cursor over it. I can move the cursor but that's it. (this happens after boot sequence, before login screen should come up) I can boot to Desktop with safe boot (-x) or with nv_disable=1, so I guess this is GPU issue What I have tried by now: - all possible different boot loaders (Chameleon, Clover) - default OS X driver and NVIDIA web driver (nvda_drv=1) - combination of different boot flags Does anybody have any idea what else could I try? Thank you in advance.
  16. So i made a usb bootable of El Capitan 11.3 through clover special edition v3 for my laptop My laptop specs : intel arrandale Processor 430m Inbuilt graphics i had problem with SMBIOS i managed to fix that via changing SMBIOS, Now the problem is i booted via (cpus=1 -v ) I saw message DMOS has arrived and black screen! now what should i do any idea?
  17. Installed El Capitan in system (in signature) with two GTX Titan Black GPUs. GPUs not supported natively (Found this odd, as all Keplers are apparently supported natively as of 10.9) Booted with nv_disable=1, installed Nvidia web drivers 346.03.03f02 after installing El Capitan 10.11.1. Rebooted and got black screen after loading. After a couple minutes, the cursor appears. I moved it around to find the password input box (Completely invisible, but cursor changed to text input icon) and then typed my password, after which I get the spinning beach ball loading icon and nothing more. Tried booting with only one GPU installed, same issue. Managed to properly boot into OS with nv_disable=1. (Albeit, at a low 1024x768 resolution with various visual glitches) Not sure why the drivers don't work, searched around and no one seems to have this issue except with Maxwell cards, and the fixes I've found don't work. So, I tried an old AMD card I had on hand to replace one of the Titans. The system booted fine, with the AMD card being seen as a generic card (Working very much like the Titan with "nv_disable=1"). Oddly, the monitor hooked up to the remaining Titan worked as it should with the proper resolution. System profiler shows the Titan as it should, with all the proper specifications. I put the other Titan back into place and the issue occurs once again. Tried with only the one that worked before (In the same secondary slot) and I got nothing, something about having the AMD card installed changed its boot behavior. Booted with the AMD card again, the display hooked up to the Titan no longer showed any display. System Profiler still showed it as hooked up though, so I reconnected it. This caused the monitor to turn on and display as it should, but the entire system froze a few seconds after. After a few minutes, I was given a login prompt again, and after logging in, everything works as it did the first time I had the AMD card connected. Tried to open Safari, it lags a lot, freezing up the system each time it does for 30 - 60 seconds, though I think it may have something to do with the AMD card being the primary card (And only having 5MB VRAM accessible). It would seem acceleration does not work properly with this configuration. Boot Arguments: (Clover) "dart=0 kext-dev-mode=1 nvda_drv=1" Any help is appreciated.
  18. There is a big problem well known for the ATI mobility users: 1600x900 screen in LVDS is very difficult to attain. I think I have found the real motive for this. ATI uses, in some cases, the eDP output for connect with the internal lcd probably because of the high resolution of the panel. In my case the output is the following: Connector Object Id [14] which is [LVDS] encoder obj id [0x21] which is [iNTERNAL_UNIPHY2 (osx txmit 0x12 [duallink 0x2] enc 0x4)] linkb: false Connector Object Id [5] which is [VGA] encoder obj id [0x15] which is [iNTERNAL_KLDSCP_DAC1 (osx txmit 0x00 enc 0x10?)] linkb: false Connector Object Id [12] which is [HDMI_TYPE_A] encoder obj id [0x1e] which is [iNTERNAL_UNIPHY (osx txmit 0x20 [duallink 0x0] enc 0x1)] linkb: true But the transmitter 12/04 or 12/01 give me a black screen or half resolution (even with the dual link patch that can be made with chameleon, DSDT or via ATY_init plist). The root of the problem, then, I think is the connector type. Reading the Linux driver info ( http://cgit.freedesk...ecac298b8d441d0) in the section Connector Object ID Definition has it: -#define CONNECTOR_OBJECT_ID_eDP 0x14 As you can see, the connector that is identified as LVDS with the redsox bios decoder is really the eDP decoder. Kizwan has noted that some Imacs uses that port: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/249642-editing-custom-personalities-for-ati-radeon-hd45xxx/page__st__260#entry1662530. The problem is that with the Shrike framebuffer Mountain Lion simply not load the GUI in my HP. How to solve that? I mean how to patch a framebuffer with this info i.e eDP output to enable LVDS connected via eDP. What are the connector type and control flags?
