tanner
How can I copy my mach_kernel from the root of my myhack usb to the root of my Mac OS X partition? I installed Mac OS X Mavericks already, but the kernel that is installed in the root is the vanilla kernel and not the patched one for haswell-based cpus. So far I have tried: "cp -R mach_kernel /Volumes/dev/disk1s2/" The patched mach_kernel could also be replaced in the Library/Packages/BaseSystemBinaries.pkg, but I cannot find a way to replace the file. I do know that there are methods in unpacking the package, but the permissions on the file disable me from doing so. Here is the picture of my list of drives:

tanner
cp -f /mach_kernel "/Volumes/MAC OS X/" <== use the quotes Thanks that worked. I ended up having to transfer more files by restoring my partition to a 500gb external storage. Now I get an error booting up my partition below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6hzffs9xj3mymol/2013-12-28%2001.38.09.jpg I also noticed that the display override in S/L/Displays/Overrides hasn't taken any effect and runs in 720p. I booted into my partition by installing Chimera 2.2.1.
