Help is critically needed! Thank you for reading.

So, I got this old beast the "Dell Workstation 690" Successfully installed Mountain Lion 10.8.2 The problem is, whenever the nVidia kexts loads the screen goes black while I am almost sure the system loads flawlessly but I can't see it.

I tried all the nvidia drivers be these stock OS X or retail nVidia. Doesn't help. Went through all I could find regarding this issue but still no help.

The graphics card installed is nVidia GT 630 4GB

Appreciate some help

Thank you

Don't know what boot-loader you are using but if you go to /Extra and find org.chameleon.Boot drag it to the desktop open it with text edit change UseKernelCache=No GraphicEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=4 . Then drag it back it into /Extra this solved my boot problems. I also removed the darkwake=0 from the file.

Here is what I am using

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>No</string>
<key>PciRoot</key>
<string>4</string>

</dict>
</plist>

You can also use F8 and type those commands in manually to get it up and running.
