OSX86 10.4.8 Update to 10.4.11

Version original en español

Test install OSX86 10.4.8 Dvd Mac OS X 10.4.8 (Jas AMD-Intel-SEE2, 3 With PPF1, 2)

Download:

Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (Intel)

First.

Open terminal and type the following commands

cd desktop

mkdir backup

cd backup

Second.

In the Terminal, to create the backup type. write

sudo cp -r /mach_kernel ./

2.1

Backup essential file. In the terminal write

sudo cp -r /System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext ./

sudo cp -r /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAPIC.kext ./

sudo cp -r /System/Library/Extensions/AppleSMBIOS.kext ./

Do not close the terminal

Third.

Copy the downloaded file in the Backup folder that is on the desktop, then double click and wait to mount the image then open the package and install.

"Do not restart when the installer asks"

Fourth.

Return to Terminal and type the following to restore system files

sudo cp -r ./mach_kernel /mach_kernel

sudo cp -r ./AppleACPIPlatform.kext /System/Library/Extensions

sudo cp -r ./AppleAPIC.kext /System/Library/Extensions

sudo cp -r ./AppleSMBIOS.kext /System/Library/Extensions

Fifth.

Close Terminal and open the Disk Utility, select the hard disk where you installed Mac OS X and click "Repair Permissions" Hopes to finish and then close the Disk Utility.

Sixth.

click on restart in the installer.

Reboot and load the gray screen where the apple appears, it takes a little while upgrading and restart again and ready once loaded you can go to "About This Mac and see which updates to 10.4.11.

Once updated you can go to the Apple website and download the latest programs that require Mac OS X 10.4.11.

Quick Time 7

iTunes 9

Safari 4.0.4

Intel security Update 005 (Needed to install the latest version of Safari)

If after you install the update the error "Mount dmg failed: device not configured"

You can fix it. "Every restart is to do it again"

Open the terminal and type

sudo kextunload -c com.apple.AppleDiskImageController

sudo kextload -b com.apple.AppleDiskImageController

Now you can mount files. Dmg

This happens because the update disk permissions change, try to "Repair Permissions" in Disk Utility but I do not think that works.
