hampel Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Hi everyone, since I had trouble to get bluetooth to work on my newly bought wifi / bluetooth half Mini PCIe card AR9285, I figured it would be helpful to some of you how I got it to work. Prerequisites: 10.8.2 with clover boot loader Clover boot loader comes with a feature, that loads kexts before the system kexts are loaded. While I tried to install my new bluetooth module I was annoyed by the errors I got while booting. Not because of the errors itselves, but because of the delays while booting. So I just tried to place the firmware kext "IOath3kfrmwr.kext" into the kext folder of the EFI partition. Now the firmware is loaded before any of the /S/L/E kexts and I do have no more errors while booting :-) Even after sleep (I disabled hibernation cause it took way to long to get to sleep mode), bluetooth is ready right after the desktop appears. I can use my magic mouse without any issues (2 finger wipe disabled since this feature makes the mouse disconnecting sometimes), everything else works just as it supposed to work.
