Hi there guys and girls,

I have a Toshiba C660-1F1 which I would like to try out installing OSX on. I am too scared to try it out without any help so can you guys help me along? My laptops specs are:

  • PWWAA - Motherboard
  • Intel i3 M380 - CPU
  • 6GB - Ram
  • 320GB sata - Harddrive
  • Intel HD 3000 - Graphics
  • Multitouch PS2 - Trackpad
  • TSSTcorp TS-L663C - DVD-RW drive
  • Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC - Network
I have seen iAtkos L2 which I would like to try but any help I would be very grateful for!(:

Hi,

A detailled tutorial for beginners can be found here: http://www.insanelym...-for-beginners/
It is not the iAtkos method, i believe they provide the tools to restore the image to usb in Windows. So you can skip step 2.

Did a quick search, iAtkos provides a guide for their releases: http://iatkos.me/for...hp?f=73&t=18840

Thanks for the help! Is my hardware completely compatible though?

Edit: Also if I was going to go the iAtkos method which options would you recommend I choose?

Okay brilliant! In the iAtkos installation it will ask for customization, what options shall I choose (i think they maybe called kexts). Also how would I go about changing my WiFi card if it wont work?

Edit: Okay, I have looked and my WiFi isnt compatible with OSX can you suggest some that are (and that are compatible with my laptop, of course)

I never Installed Iatkos, only vanilla, method USBInstaller is more easy and you can delete and add kexts for your USBinstaller, in google put kext for,

Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN

802.11n

PCI-E NIC - Network or

wifi card notebook for Montain Lion, google is a good friend!!!!!
