Hi all! The problem that i have, is that i can't fix the ALC889A sound of the Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3 With the Clover EFI v2 Bootloader on  Mountain Lion . I have a patched DSDT.aml ( see attached one). Could anyone help me please to make it to work?

HI All!!!

I have same problem here.... on a GA-P55-UD5..

Everything was working fine. I installed Clover and I lost my ALC889a sound. Have redone evrything deleted AppleHDA and ALC889a and reinstalled. Install my DSDT again with no luck!!


Please could anyone give us way to fix this??

Normally this is set to LayoutID 12, but you need to do more to get it going, and when you update, you need to do it all over again.

Use layout id 66 in DSDT OR config.plist,pci, HDAInjection .
This defaults to Headphones when you boot up , but just change it to line-out.
Next update, sound will still work although you may need to do the above HP>line out thing.

Make sure you use virgin AppleHDA and remove any helper kexts.

Maybe this is boring for you but can you explain that in a noobie way?

Sound was working fine until I installed CLOVE. Then I went back to Chamaleon and from there i cant get sound from my system

I have done a clean install and it doesnt matter but in Lion or ML cant get ALC889a sound working again!

Is there any way to remove CLOVE or something?
