Can only boot in Safe Mode

I successfully installed mountain lion on a

Dell Dimension 9200

-intel core 2 duo
-250gb hdd
-3gb ram
-nvidia geforce 7300 le

when i run in verbose boot i get stuck after "enable success."

i can only boot in safe mode using -x

Hmm... if it was 10.8.2, i would guess a FakeSMC issue. Anyway, search here on insanelymac and install the kozlec branch FakeSMC. Give it a go.

i cant seem to find a fakesmc.kext file :S

ok after Severel attempts i reinstalled os and can boot with graphicsenablet=yes and usekernelcache=no

Hmm... if it was 10.8.2, i would guess a FakeSMC issue. Anyway, search here on insanelymac and install the kozlec branch FakeSMC. Give it a go.


Hey, I got 10.8.2 installed but can only boot in safe mode (-x) and only from ###### Usb support.
Could you plz help?

install the boot loader for your disk, and configure your boot.plist with UseKernelCaches=Yes, now repairPermissions/rebuildCaches with KextWizrd and reboot
