So I the new update rolled put today and I decided to do a clean install since I was running the 10.8.2 beta. So after doing a clean install of 10.8.0 and applying each update one at a time I had a fully working 10.8.2 installation. So I watched a movie which was a Blu Ray using Blu Ray Player for Mac and it worked fine. Then I went to watch a normal DVD movie and placed in the in drive and DVD play automatically came up and it crashed. I then tried Blu Ray Player for Mac and it also crashed. Last I tried to use VLC with the same result.

I have QE running and both OpenCL and OpenGL are working fine. Ideas?

Apple. It appears this is a common issues and people are restoring the DVD framework from 10.8.0 and it fixes the issues however that does not explain why it is happening.

Add to the list of rollbacks we do and don't know why they are needed, or why rolling back farther than the last version that had worked is required :(

I don't have one of them fancy Bluray things, but is there native support now or is it 3rd party still?

Native Blu Ray burning but no play back as of yet... nor do I expect there ever will be due to the fact that Apple is getting away from Disk Drives. My only hope is that the new Mac Pro might have it but I do not expect Apple to make such a move.
