Hey!
I have a hackintosh running 1.06.0 from the vanilla DVD from Apple.
When I go to to install a combo update it wont install. The install fails.
Doesn't say anything else.
Anyone got any idea on how to fix it?

Tried 10.6.6, not 10.6.8 though.

Boot from your DVD, run Disk Utility, repair disk and permissions, then try again.

Tried that but in safe mode on my actual HDD.
Il try it with the install DVD then! Thanks.

You'll notice that the repair option is greyed out, Disk Utility can not repair the disk it is being run from, that's why you must boot with your DVD.

Aha! That did the trick! Thanks very much.
But sadly I installed OSX 10.6.2 combo instead of the 10.6.8 combo. The reason why I did 10.6.2 is just to test the waters.
Works perfect, but my issue now is I get the same error after attempting to install 10.6.8 now. Any ideas on how to fix it?
