Hey manor!
I followed your guide, updated to 10.7.5 then delete GPUSupport.framework, copy OpenGL and OpenCL.framework back and finally copy all the kexts file back.
I currently can boot but there's no OpenGL or anything. I have full res though. I saw your pictures that you could make 10.7.5 boot with ATI opengl, could you show me how?
Or if it even possible in 10.8, that would be great.
Thanks for your time!

Edit: Finally able to make it work on 10.7.5. Thank a lot manor!!

AMD dual graphics 6950 supported
Hi ALL
all credit goes to Netkas/Andy/chameleon team Ermac
This 7 kexts support 6950/6970 to mac osx 10.7.x and 10.8
just install via kext wizard.
before install delete Amdraden kexts.
AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext
After install kexts set GraphicsEnabler=Yes.
MY dual cards works v.well. more info look my ioreg files.
Allso windows7 supported crossfire
All but 2 monitors must be connected to the DP ports on the AMD graphics card, and be able to
support the required resolution. The 2 exceptions can be connected to the DVI or HDMI ports.
The monitors connected to the DP ports can be connected with DP cables, or using AMDrecommended
active adapters to DVI or HDMI ports on the monitors.
Where multiple graphics adapters are installed, Eyefinity groups cannot span across multiple
adapters. With cross-fire enabled, only monitors connected to the primary card will be enabled.
NOTE-10.8 dp4 this kexts not 100%support.

It does. But with 10.7.4 and 10.7.5 only. Our best bet is using 10.7.4.
Youtube is still slow even with 480p though.

aljazudovic: You need another card that work oob to init Desktop first ( I'm using HD 3000 ), then you can switch back to 6950 and it will work.
Not by this kexts, the other one made by Oleg_Tr in netkas forum.

It will. If you need any help with 10.7.4 then just post your ioreg | grep ATY ( in terminal ), I probably will be able to help out.

finally 10.8 worked.
big thanks to netkas and oleg_Tr
my dual 2x6950
1st slot -hdmi
2nd slot-mini display
bios setting primary boot first intuit 2nd slot and I set also dsdt with dual graphics.
then just boot with this kexts fine.
my 1st card Link Width: x16
2nd card Link Width: x8
maybe thats why i set primary boot 2nd slot because first one x16 with hdmi worked fine.
thanks again netkas and oleg_Tr patch kexts.

its boom for ML10.8 ATY_Init.kext
just install this kext too

thanks netkas.

This is extremely interesting to me, would this work on just one 6950? I'm having troubles getting my Sapphire 6950 2GB Card to boot up with Mountain Lion, it just stays on a black screen after choosing from the Boot Menu.. :wallbash:

Can you please elaborate. Did you remove the existing ATY_init.kext?

How did you installd the DSDT and kexts?

I have a 6950 and ML in a VM under windows. I tried ###### but all I get is a kernal panic during boot.

Shameless.

VMs don't allow direct access to the actual graphics hardware, they have a custom driver that converts graphics operations in the guest OS to something the underlying OS drivers can handle.
What the real hardware happens to be is totally irellevant to the guest OS and it cannot find out what it is anyway. As far as I can remember ATY_init is for enabling recognition of ATI/AMD and
Nvidia hardware and as such absolutely useless under a VM.

Sorry to be clear, I'm only using the VM to prep the USB installer (and it works great for that), I have another drive I'm using for OSX for and that is what I am having problems getting to work.

Shameless.
