jnxjn
Ehh thats old too. Just use ###### or myhack what do you mean by "######"? about myhack, what is it? can i burn it on DVD and make it bootable? also it supports x86?
PookyMacMan
###### is the forum's filter for i boot. I don't recommend i boot, myhack unfortunately requires an existing OS X installation. If you get a retail Snow Leopard disc, you can try the guide in my signature.

jnxjn
it's illegal to use Mac OSx on x86?
PookyMacMan
Look at the FAQ. In sum, no, it's not illegal unless you pirate the disc. It just breaks the EULA, which is not anything legal. For non-commercial uses there are no issues with running OS X on a PC.

PookyMacMan
what about iatkos? Dude, iAtkos doesn't work well, just like any other distro. Retail is the way to go. what version works on hp pavilion dv4000? No version is tailored for a specific computer. Retail is the way to go. bump. That's against the rules. PookyMacMan
I don't think you're doing it right. 1. Boot the OSx86 ModCD and wait until it shows a funny looking menu. 2. Eject the ModCD and insert the retail DVD. 3. Wait 10 seconds, and press F5 4. Type mach_kernel if you have an Intel Core CPU, don't type anything if you have a different CPU. 5. Press Enter.
