how enable two cores on amd x2 turion?

...um, well cpus=1 limits to 1 core, so the only way to use 2 is to find a way to boot without cpus=1. play around with different kernel flags. There is no reason an SL setup using legacy kernel should need cpus=1 after the initial setup.

lol sorry man it's not exactly a simple thing that can be fixed with a 'one size fits all' answer. the solution you're going to have to find is a way to boot without having to use cpus=1. Literally all the cpus=1 command does is limit your processor to a single core. first of all you need to share more info about your machine.

Are you using Nawcom's legacy kernel?

How much RAM do you have?

What other kernel flags are you booting with?

What version of chameleon are you using?

I have fixed all of my problems on my AMD system but I can't help you if you don't share a little more info
