Diagnostic required for 10.6.8 safeboot only (after double KP) get your problem solving head on

Hello all i am having some issues that i will describe shortly.

 

firstly i would like to say, this is not a kext queary i know what needs to be installed for my system, this is an os problem so if your savy with terminal then please stick around because i need your help desperately. if you can solve this problem then you have essentially helped develop a workaround for a update double KP which i and several other users have been experiencing (even when following the correct procedure using tonymacx86 update helper)

 

ok so lets start at the beginning, i have finally managed to get my acer 5750 to 10.6.7 and running stable, mostly everything works, however i wanted to tackle the kp that i get 90% through the 10.6.8 combo, as i want to try lion, the kp is not a common one and very little info is listed on google, anyway thats not important now, after the kp i have managed to boot into safe mode using startupdisk, to my surprise chimera now works (so this is a bonus, before i had to use i boot legacy disk) not only this but it actually booted! but only in safemode, -v stated that the os has been modified and 4 files where removed (i imagine it found my kexts and removed them) now my laptops keyboard and mouse dont work, so this may continue to support my theory, regaurdless it can be fixed.

 

now finder crashes and error reports continuously. so i cannot use finder i cannot see desktop ect, i can however launch the terminal, this displays the menu bar so i was able to see about this mac. im on 10.6.8! somehow, i amused the kp would have failed the instal. the point is i have got it to a point where it can be repaired and thus a workaround for those users having this same problem.

 

so here are my thoughts,

 

can the filesystem be repaired via terminal?

 

the error when launching the finder icon is -10810

 

i have managed to get to multbeast and restore my kexts, but i think finder needs to be repaired.

 

i have a sparce image of 10.6.7 on my desktop so i was thinking would it be posible to fix core services with this, the is very difficult because i have no file manager.

 

i can launch app store, but it wont let me login. in theory i could get it to lion somehow.
