xx77aBs
Hello ! I've finally installed Snow Leopard 10.6.6i by Hazard, even my graphics card (ATI Radeon X1600) works Anyway, I have tried to install XCode 4.2, but I can't do that because I need 10.6.7 ... So I guess I need to update my installation to 10.6.8. The problem is, I'm pretty new to this hackintosh stuff, so I don't know how to do that Any tips ? I've tried running Software Update from apple menu, but now I can't boot It's not a problem, I have made a backup, so I just need to restore it So any suggestions/tips on how to install the update ? Thanks My hardware: MBO: GA-P31-DS3L motherboard CPU: C2D E8400 GFX: ATI Radeon X1600 PCI-E Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/273988-how-to-update-to-1068/ Share on other sites

goodguess
Usually Apple´s ComboUpdate is recommended for upgrading to 10.6.8. You should re-install your bootloader after upgrading and you have to copy all kexts added manually to the upgraded OS. In case you are using a Legacy Kernel, you will have to re-install that one too. Maybe it would help posting a picture of the Hackintosh screen at system stall. One of the experts may already know the reason. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/273988-how-to-update-to-1068/#findComment-1782298 Share on other sites
xx77aBs
thank you guys for helping It was kernel problem - it got upgraded and sleephelper.kext didn't work. I've just deleted that .kext and now everything works (except sleep, but I don't need that ) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/273988-how-to-update-to-1068/#findComment-1782478 Share on other sites
