Lion Installation Failed. Any Ideas

The Message I'm getting with about 10 mins to go in the installation is: "The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

I get the same error no matter which method I try (see below). I have tried the GM and retail versions with the same result.

I have tried the following methods:

* xMove + ##### (both as an install partition and usb)

* myHack (usb)

with xMove I have tried as an update from SL 10.6.8 and as a fresh install on a seperate partition. Again I get the same result.

I feel like there's something I'm missing....any ideas?

Are you overclocked? If so, reset to defaults and see if that works.

Nope, pretty standard setup

checked out the log file on install and there was that essentials.pgk error that a few others are having:

install Failed: Error Domain=PKInstallErrorDomain Code=110 "An error occurred while extracting files from the package “Essentials.pkg”." UserInfo=0x7faaa5197690 {NSLocalizedDescription=An error occurred while extracting files from the package “Essentials.pkg

delete the package folder from ur USB/HDD and try to copy it over one more time ,maybe the file got corrupted while copying.

and btw myhack 1.4 dont work as a bootloader for lion ,install Chameleon-2.0-RC5-r1083 or ##### with <mach_kernel> flag and see will it work or not.
