helob Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 I tried Bin patch the vanilla AppleHDA.kext in Lion GM /S/L/E and screw it up without backing it up. How can I extract the vanilla AppleHDA.kext from the 'Install Mac OS X Lion.app' installer? I have tried looking into all the folders in 'Lion Base System' but couldn't find any kext files. However, my 'Mac X Base System/System/Library' don't have the Extensions folder (see attachment) Your 'Mac X Base System' must be different from mind.
