Whenever i open the application folder as a gridview, theres a very short burst of noise at the lower part of the screen. It doesnt alway happen, sometimes it happens alot and sometimes not at all. However if it happens it gets worse to the part the whole screen flickers on and off when opening the grid. I have no issues doing opengl or quartz extreme stuff, benchmarking goes fine, its really the gridview at first. But after that gets worse other graphically intensive things can provoke it as well. My screen (syncmaster 2443) also makes a higer potch noise when i open a stack in gridview. It also produces high beeps when i for example rotate something high-poly in blender3D, the more complex the model, the higher the pitch (but apart from that it runs fine). It is a club3d hd5770 single-dvi connected through dvi with id 0x68b6. It runs with kabyl branch chameleon, but a year ago it had exactly the same problem running with aty_init. I suspect it has something to do with the framebuffer, another interesting fact is when wake from sleep the issue is gone. I searched alot the apst days but noone is reporting a similar problem, could it be the card? I doubt it since it runs fine under windows. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!
