1. 5770 working, but glitches

Ever since i got my 5770 to work i experience a problem. Whenever i open the application folder as a gridview, theres a very short burst of noise at the lower part of the screen. It doesnt alway happen, sometimes it happens alot and sometimes not at all. However if it happens it gets worse to the part the whole screen flickers on and off when opening the grid. I have no issues doing opengl or quartz extreme stuff, benchmarking goes fine, its really the gridview at first. But after that gets worse other graphically intensive things can provoke it as well. My screen (syncmaster 2443) also makes a higer potch noise when i open a stack in gridview. It also produces high beeps when i for example rotate something high-poly in blender3D, the more complex the model, the higher the pitch (but apart from that it runs fine). It is a club3d hd5770 single-dvi connected through dvi with id 0x68b6. It runs with kabyl branch chameleon, but a year ago it had exactly the same problem running with aty_init. I suspect it has something to do with the framebuffer, another interesting fact is when wake from sleep the issue is gone. I searched alot the apst days but noone is reporting a similar problem, could it be the card? I doubt it since it runs fine under windows. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance! (system: msi p55 gd65 (dsdt patched), 8gb ram, 32bit, i7-860)
2. Thanks for the reply's, i have it working now with #####. Used the exact same settings as in this example (the ATI graphics one): http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2011/03/how...ality-from.html Next stop might be to play with DSDT, i hope i can somehow get my fans and CPU-throttling working. But i have a working system and im very happy with it. Is there a good utility yet that shows correct CPU clock and Temps?
3. Thats would be an option of course, but i would like the settings to be exactly as ##### uses them. And i couldnt find anywhere what those were. I am going to try some tomorrow, to see if that works. Another option might be to restore the ##### to a partition on the startup disk. That way i am sure i keep the functionality. But i dont know how to make it boot from that partition.
4. Hello everyone, In the last few days i completely reinstalled my hackintosh, starting from scratch. Because i had good experience with myHack i used this. It installs chameleon RC4 and the extra folder including the basic hacked kexts and boot.plist Everything worked and i can boot 10.6.3 with LAN working out of the box. However after the combo update booting hangs at AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement, time out. I've had 10,6,7 running before and knew it could do it. However the very strange (but really cool) situation is that once i boot the installation of de ##### CD, everything works. Onboard audio, HD5770 with full QE/CI, Internet, its perfect. But ofcourse i dont want to boot from ##### always, so how do i fix this? A wise man once said, the only thing more frustrating than not knowing why it doesnt work, is not knowing why it does work. My guess is its the newer chameleon, maybe with the right 5770 stuff in it. But that doesnt explain the onboard audio. So how can ik make this boot from hdd, and keep it in this perfect state. Specs: P55-gd65 mobo, hd5770 (club 3d), spinpoint F3 1TB, DVI-display 1920x1200 Thank you in advance (this is is such a usefull forum! )
5. Finally Done it!

What have you tried already? hd5770 shouldn't be to hard to get working.
6. getting gma 950 on 945gm chipset to work

I have finally got it to work and am very happy right now watching a 720p movie I know i am replying to my own post but i think this might be very useful for people with similar problems! I had tried virtually everything for my gma950 (27a7 version), but seems it is pretty straight forward. In the intel graphics section search for the topic from neos about his vaio. On the second page there is the framebuffer (old version) which he succesfully used. I tried that but got a blue screen without mouse. However i had the good idea of logging in with remote desktop and that did show the desktop. So apparently the blue screen was because of osx thinking it wasnt the primary screen. So i took a DVI to VGA converter, which i had lying around, and plugged in the same monitor via VGA (PC->adapter->monitor) And BAM! full QE/CI working and i could choose my resolution for the first time! Also no more kernelpanics on screensaver or movies or frontrow. So all it took was a simple old framebuffer and a VGA adapter. Had i only known this before it would have saved me many hours
7. Hello everyone! I have a question about the intel gma 950. I have an aopen mini pc with intel 945gm en ich7m and coreduo t2050. This seemed a very nice mini-pc to install osx 10.6 on to me. I already did a succesful install on an i7 pc with hd5770 so i know a little bit what i am doing. I am using the myHack method with original osx retail CD (10.6.3), it uses chameleon 2 rc4 as bootloader. While the old macbooks use this graphics chip i thought it would be quite easy to get it to work, seems it isn't though. After installing i get chess and the ripple effect working right away so it seems QE/CI must be kind of working. However when i open frontrow or play a movie i get kernelpanic, and i have only the one resolution. I read thoroughly through the intel graphic section in this forum (very informative!). I tried all the kexts i could find, efi strings, DSDT patching, non seem to work for me. All i get is sometimes transparent menu bar (which i had after install already) and sometimes not (so no QE). Is there anything else i can try? Or maybe someone that has the same chipset/graphics that solved the problem? I am reinstalling everything now, and just keep trying things. Thanks much in advance! Greetings, Arie
