Hi,
There's an interesting article on TRIM-support in Lion (10.7) but also in Snow Leopard (10.6.6) on hardmac.com:

Well, I don't care. My system isn't getting slower on my Vertex2 so I don't really need TRIM.

I know
But this TRIM stuff is more a marketing thingy than a technology boost. It's nice if you have a need for block-level garbage collection, but it seems that only NTFS really suffers from SSD's without TRIM, or controllers that don't pass TRIM commands. Since Mac OS X uses HFS+J as default, I don't really see why you would care right now.

Wish I could find a way to trick OS X to think my Intel ssd as a regular Apple ssd

Even if you could, your system wouldn't go faster..

Of course it was only a matter of time before someone would figure out how to use the TRIM-command on non-Apple SSD's. Click here to read how to do it.
