Jbbrack03 Posted February 5, 2011 Share Posted February 5, 2011 I'm getting a strange problem with my Hackintosh. I'm running a Desktop that has the latest 10.6.6 update. I just downloaded the Facetime Beta for Mac and I've connected a USB Camera to my computer. When I open Facetime, I am able to see myself, but when I try to log in, I get an error that "The Device you are attempting to use has an invalid ID". I'm assuming that this is the hardware ID for my camera? It's not related my Apple ID (I double-checked and I'm able to log into iTunes fine). Is there anything that I can do to make Facetime work? sjobsfan Posted September 9, 2011 Share Posted September 9, 2011 I have the same problem. I'm using a built in webcam so its not your camera. How did you get facetime?
