Get past 18 mins?

Hey guys.. so I don't remember exactly what options I chose, but I had iatkos S3 working on my Samsung Netbook.. however I have to reinstall it, and I've selected the same options but it won't go past 18 mins and isn't installing. The only thing that's different.. is before I remember I woukd put -z cpus=1 and instead of the apple logo booting, a whole bunch of code would come down my screen, and after a few mins it would take me to the installer. Now it doesn't do that, and instead loads normally, then goes to the installer, but as I said won't get past 18 mins.. Can somebody help? It's getting so annoying.
