Disabled SpeedStep causes performance loss...

As in title.

After few month I finally managed to install OSX on my machine:

P7P55D (without any pre- and suffixes, just vanilla P7P55D)

HD5870

2x 2GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1600MHz

i5 750

2x Samsung HD502HJ

CoolerMaster Silent Pro M1000W

And everything wen fine: I've installed retail 10.6.3 using tonymacx86's HD5xxx boot CD (v. 3) on a RAID 0 volume (called "Snow"), then after updating to 10.6.4 and installing Graphics Update, using #####, I've installed my DSDT, VoodooHDA, ATY_Init_Vervet, Realtek R1000SL and added "32-bit GraphicsEnabler=No" to com.apple.Boot.plist.

Then I've made my RAID bootable (installed AsereBLN chameleon on both "Mac OS X Boot" hidden partitions, copied over my Extra folder etc.).

Now everything works perfectly (minor changes to DSDT - just edited HPET, RTC, TIMR and PIC - everything works, didn't even edit SBRG - I simply love this board), except one thing (now the fun begins)...

If I have SpeedStep turned on I get around 6k points in 32bit Geekbench - OK. But after I disable it (and I have to - will explain later) GeekBench runs definitely longer and I get only about 2.5k points. After re-enabling SpeedStep again - 6k points.

Someone would say - "So leave the SpeedStep on". But I can't. Firstly I'm waiting for HR-02 (:D) to overclock to 4.2GHz (my CPU does it at 1.38V) and SpeedStep surely won't help me in overclocking. Secondly my card (as many others) has sort of "whine" problem. Almost every fast graphics card whines under hard load but mine does it too in idle. I've found out that turning off SpeedStep solves this.

The whine in idle while speedstep is on, is of course a lot quieter, but it still is, and it is annoying. I guess it occurs due to fact that my PSU has one 80A rail, and when, for example CPU changes its voltage or something, that graphic card's power section must sort of "react" for this and durning that "reaction" it whines. When SpeedStep is turned off, cpu constantly has the same clock speed and voltage, thus card doesn't whine.

Ufff.... that was hard to explain :D

Simplifying - I need to have SpeedStep turned off, otherwise my graphic card's sounds will drive me crazy.

So - anyone have an idea how to turn off speedstep and still have full performance ? (I've already tried to manualy set BCLK and other speeds in bios, and then turning off the speedstep, but I still get low scores).

/EDIT

Found out that if I disable SpeedStep, MSR Tool constantly shows that my CPU runs @ 1.2GHz. Strange...

/EDIT2

Ooopss.... I guess that's wrong forum category, sorry :D

/EDIT3

I've finally found the guilty, but I don't know how to deal with that. Right now I have normal (i.e. non-RAID) partition on one hard disk. I installed a chameleon on it, and it boots OK but with SpeedStep problem. But if I delete the whole Extensions folder from /Extra (I have fakesmc and IoAHCIStorage... for icons) the system boots at full speed. But now I don't have sleep (if I put fakesmc back again I have the sleep but I don't have full speed).

So what should I do now ?
