vlad2005
Hi all! I try'it to make an bootable usb flash with iatkos s3 v2. I booted from the DVD and I used diskutil to partition the flash memory and restore dvd image on it. Then i write chameleon bootloader. Everything goes without any error. But i can't boot fom usb flash (A-Data 8 Gb). Hence the strangeness. Same stick on a Toshiba laptop boots without problems. Also I put an bootloader on a 64Mb and 4GB stick that boots without any problem on my laptop (HP from signature). So, seem that it's an issue with boot from an 8Gb flash drive. Flash drive it's well formated, and type it's correct (af). Disk: 1 Size: 7.7G CHS: 986 255 63 Pos MBRndx Type/Name Size Active Hide Start Sector Sectors DL Vol Label --- ------ ---------- ---- ------ ---- ------------ ------------ -- ---------- 0 0 AF-UNKNWN 7.7G Yes No 63 15,851,430 G: <None> So, any solution for that? I have latest bios from HP (F.1D), so what can i do?

vlad2005
take a screenshot from booting with -v and uploard it anywhere . . . Maybe I was not clear. System not booting from USB. I do not where to boot with "-v". My laptop "don't sees" the USB stick as bootable.
Stefe Hobs
you have set the usb-drive in the bios as first boot device?
vlad2005
you have set the usb-drive in the bios as first boot device? Please read with attention my first post. Can I boot from a 64Mb or 4 Gb flash. But not with this of 8Gb. There is not a BIOS setting problem.
Stefe Hobs
normally u can boot and install from a 8GB usb-stick without any problem, but your stick must be created correct . . . a 64mb or 4gb stick its to small for a full install disc . . . but for a stand alone boot medium for chameleon or like this u can use it . . . but than u must install the system to a other medium that have enough space . . . I know that. This is why I want to use an 8GB stick. but simply, don't want to boot. Flash stick is prepared properly, because boot on another laptop. It is very strange. If nobody has any idea, I will try to test with another stick. The only unpleasant thing is that it takes a lot.
