Hello!

I'm planning to build my first hackintosh for my small home studio. I'm currently using macbook and an apogee duet firewire interface with Logic. Now I really need more power for virtual instruments. It's really important that firewire would work, becouse I have an external firewire hd for my sample library and apogee duet also uses firewire. I also use roland v-drums and m-audio midi controller, both are usb devices.

I have been already looking some parts. What do you guys think about this setup, would it work?:

-Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Intel X58 LGA1366

-CPU: Intel Core i7 930 2,8GHz

-Graphics: Gigabyte GV-R577UD-1GD Radeon HD5770 1 GB DDR5 PCI Express

-RAM: 6 x 2GB Kingston Valueram 1333MHz DDR3, CL9

-Hard disk: Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATAII 64MB

-Case: Antec Sonata III 500 ATX(includes 500w power)

Please let me know your opinions.
