  1. Hi. This hackingtosh world is quite new to me so I would need some help. I'm planning to build my first hackintosh and need some suggestions for components. I would use it mostly for audio editing(logic 9), so it needs to have power for many virtual instuments and effects. I already own a macbook and and Apogee Duet firewire interface, but I really need more powerful machine. It would be really great if I could use Duet also with new machine. I would be really grateful if you could suggest me some good setups. Total price should stay under 2000 dollars. Thank you!
  2. Hello! I'm planning to build my first hackintosh for my small home studio. I'm currently using macbook and an apogee duet firewire interface with Logic. Now I really need more power for virtual instruments. It's really important that firewire would work, becouse I have an external firewire hd for my sample library and apogee duet also uses firewire. I also use roland v-drums and m-audio midi controller, both are usb devices. I have been already looking some parts. What do you guys think about this setup, would it work?: -Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Intel X58 LGA1366 -CPU: Intel Core i7 930 2,8GHz -Graphics: Gigabyte GV-R577UD-1GD Radeon HD5770 1 GB DDR5 PCI Express -RAM: 6 x 2GB Kingston Valueram 1333MHz DDR3, CL9 -Hard disk: Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATAII 64MB -Case: Antec Sonata III 500 ATX(includes 500w power) Please let me know your opinions.
