j.e.f.f
Hi I just ordered a Mini 10v from Dell's outlet site. Should arrive in a week or so. I intend to use the netbook when I travel to import and catalog my photos. Processing can wait until I get home, but at least this way I can weed out the bad ones and flag the best ones over the course of the trip instead of after I get home. I intend to use Adobe Lightroom to do so. Having said that, I want to upgrade the RAM to 2GB and the HDD to as large as I can (Ideally a 500 GB would be awesome). I know from experience that OS X can sometimes be finicky with RAM. If I bought any 2GB stick certified for the Mini 10v, should I be OK? Or are there certain brands that are known to be a bit wonky? Are some known to work better than others? Same goes for the hard drive. It's not unusual for me to rack up over 100 GB of photos over the course of a 2-week vacation, so I need lots of space. Will I be OK with any 500 GB Seagate that I can pick up whenever they go on sale? Or are there certain limitations I need to be mindful of? Thanks for the help! - Jeff

Check out the my dell mini forum for the full run down and install guides bear in mind though it's only a low end atom so check what adobe lightroom needs to comfortably run
