invisiblesurfer
Hi chaps, My NTFS IDE drive is detected ok during boot (even chameleon boot loader sees it - although it's not bootable). I've installed the latest Paragon (which worked beautifully under 10.5.6 btw) but it fails to even detect my IDE NTFS. Is there anything I can do other than cry? Or am I helpless? LaCruz
Just try it to mount via snow: Open terminal and type this: > sudo -s Enter Password > nano /etc/fstab Now add this line: UUID=<X-X-X-X-X> none ntfs rw <X-X-X-X-X> meens UUID of your NTFS-Drive. Get it by checking information from Diksutilty from Snow. > exit The reboot your system. No need for Paragon...
srs5694
There's another thread here on this forum about this option. Apple seems to have disabled it because it's buggy. People have reported all sorts of problems with it on this forum alone, up to and including a close call with complete data loss. (Files were ultimately recoverable under Linux, IIRC.) Edit: By "this option" I mean LaCruz's suggested solution.
