terramir Posted September 17, 2009 Share Posted September 17, 2009 Okies I just installed SL on my 1005HAB got everything to work except ethernet (installed but won't connect properly) and wifi (AR9285 need I say more), but I have tons of kext's in there and well I probably should clean that out because I'm pretty sure half those kext are not doing what there supposed to etc..... I got like 50 kext and well I'd say that's probably less than optimal considering there not being loaded by the bootloader there are no dsdt hacks that I'm using which probabaly is cutting down on my mashine working as it should , I'm looking for tut's into how to modify kext how to edit whatever file points to the kext's that I irroniously installed (my two wifi usb sticks dun work and I tried five different drivers each so I might have just screwed up a lot of stuff there I dun have any kernal panics yet but in order to prevent that when I do have working solutions, and also some way to learn about coding drivers (kext) would be great as well because I really want to learn how to code a driver based on a working linux/netbsd driver so I can contribute to the community, but it seems like everyone here writes like everyone should know what the person is talking about so learning here is very hard, I wish for some pointers terramir Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
