Intel NIC not recognized after boot-up

Cannot get my Intel Pro/100S Dual NIC to be recognized under SL 10.6?

Under Chameleon r658 boot-up, used -v and saw that the Intel card was not being initialized.

 

Under 10.5.8 Leopard, it works perfectly. Under -v, the Intel card get initialized and posts the Intel NIC as a 82557 controller. I don't remember how I got it to work to on 10.5.6.

 

In SL, I did use the EFI studio to calculate the hex string for my video card and ethernet.

 

I did configure /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist properly.

I did not configure /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

 

Am I missing a special kext and do I need to add my changes to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist ??
