  1. Cannot get my Intel Pro/100S Dual NIC to be recognized under SL 10.6? Under Chameleon r658 boot-up, used -v and saw that the Intel card was not being initialized. Under 10.5.8 Leopard, it works perfectly. Under -v, the Intel card get initialized and posts the Intel NIC as a 82557 controller. I don't remember how I got it to work to on 10.5.6. In SL, I did use the EFI studio to calculate the hex string for my video card and ethernet. I did configure /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist properly. I did not configure /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist Am I missing a special kext and do I need to add my changes to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist ?? Thanks,
  2. Solved my SL install USB stick KP issue on a non-AHCI MOBO. Used the following linK: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...00#entry1189943 Followed your instructions. It works great with the following modifications: 1. Copied(recursive) the above 10.5.8 IOATAFamily.kext to System/Library/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext 2. Removed /Extra/Extensions.mkext and added other *.kext files from my 10.5.8 Leopard 3. Removed /Extensions/Disabler.kext 4. Used Chameleon v2 RC3 r658 boot file instead of Chameleon v2 RC2 r640 5. Did a Permissions Repair 6. At Chameleon prompt selected Install (USB stick) and used -v -x -f. 7. Everything boot-up for SL installation 8. Installed SL and re-booted 9. At Chameleon prompt selected Snow (Install SL partition name) and used -v -x -f. 10. SL booted-up for configuration. Did I do anything incorrectly Thanks again. Edit Hardware: Abit I-45 CV no AHCI in BIOS Video: Nvidia 7200 GS with 128 MB Installed :10.5.8 Leopard on a IDE HD Later Installed 10.6 SL on SATA HD with two partitions Cham and Snow SATA Hardrive on SATA1 DVD Drive on SATA2 Memory: 4GB
  3. I have installed Leopard 10.5.8 onto an IDE HD, but I am unable to install Snow Leopard from BlackOSX's guide using an USB stick. http://netkas.org/?p=125 describes my my problem: the way SL 10A432 handles ATA controllers is different from other earlier version of SL. I tried the new kext posted but only KPs. I get cannot get past the KPs. Any work arounds? I have an ABIT I-45 CV MOBO that does not have AHCI SATA in the Bios.
