virtudude
Has anyone else noticed the hard drive device names changing between reboots? My main drive seems to go from /dev/disk0 to /dev/disk2 to /dev/disk1 whenever I reboot. I wouldn't have noticed it had VMware Fusion not used it to set up the Boot Camp VM. It forces me to recreate the VM when it changes. Any ideas how to make it stop changing? Thanks.

virtudude
Must be a motherboard problem...very weird.. I'm assuming it can't be THAT uncommon given that OS X deals with it well. It's just VMware Fusion that's having issues. I'm assuming it can't be THAT uncommon given that OS X deals with it well. It's just VMware Fusion that's having issues. I wonder if it's related to my drives being marked "External" in Disk Utility? Does anyone know how to make them internal? I'm assuming it can't be THAT uncommon given that OS X deals with it well. I fixed the External problem by changing my IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext from: <key>Physical Interconnect</key> <string>SATA</string> <key>Physical Interconnect Location</key> <string>Internal/External</string> to <key>Physical Interconnect</key> <string>SATA</string> <key>Physical Interconnect Location</key> <string>Internal</string> Only time will tell if this fixes the device name changing problem.
