inc188 Posted August 4, 2009 Share Posted August 4, 2009 hey everyone got the dual setup on my comp with XP and Leopard when i login to Leopard on the desktop it shows the XP drive what do i have to do to remove that xp drive showing up on the Desktop?? if i drag it to the Trash it says if i want to eject it, i am wondering if I did that, will it mess up my XP partition???? thanks a lot Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
eject Posted August 4, 2009 Share Posted August 4, 2009 if you eject a harddisk on osx it's like ejcting a cd or a sb stick, it unmounts them, they are not getting alterd. if you don't want to show disks on osx you can name them starting with a dot ".xphdd", filees folders or drives starting with a dot will remain hidden in finder. you can't do this from within finder. should be possible through terminal and is possible from outside osx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
