Eos9
After many years of using Virgin as my Broadband provider, I have recently switched to Orange. I had explained that I wanted to retain my Virgin email address and despite being told by Virgin I would likely no longer be able to use it , have been advised by Orange this is not the case. Using Apple Mail I am still able to receive my Virgin email as normal but despite setting up the smtp to the Orange address for outgoing mail I am still not able to send or reply to any emails. I have contacted Orange support ( Apple team ! ) concerning this and despite many attempts can still not cure the issue. I am confident I have entered the correct smtp address for outgoing mail mail preferences and also checking the box for 'use only this server ' makes no difference. Although no longer with Virgin my email account is still active as 1/ I still receive email and 2/ I can receive and send email through the Virgin Webmail site. On advise from orange I have also tried setting the outgoing smtp address for Freeserve and Wanadoo without any luck either. Any help or advise in getting the issue sorted is therefore much appreciated. Eos
