With the new cat just around the corner, I thought I'd test it out-

I just wanted to be sure that it was ok to create another partition on my existing 10.5 hard drive, and install 10.6 on the other partition?

WIll I still be able to boot into both? Is Refit necessary, or can i just hold the option key at boot?

Thanks!

The alt key is enough. Or the startup disk panel in system preferences.

I'm doing the same and it works without a hitch. Always backup if you're partitioning just in case.
