oxident
Hmm, my Mic is working just fine. What message do you get when you boot verbose? Thanx for trying to help, I will try to recover more info later and I'll report here so let's see if I can finally get it working. SL performs super sweet on the Aspire One, pitty about the internal WIFI. Cheers Alex

oxident
What's your Wifi manufacture and model? I may have a solution. Its the well known AR5007 Atheros bundled internal WIFI. I had some success making it work under 10.5 using the "kismac trick". About the audio issue, I see some lines refering to the appleHDA audio engine, but all goes so fast that I dont have the time to read, I tried to delete AppleHDA and restore it, makes no difference, MIC doesnt work, you say that deleting this is really necessary to make it work?. Is there any file that logs booting? Cheers! Alex EDIT: Got it working now! http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1323723
Samsung R522
Hello All, Attached is a working kext for ALC272 HD Audio. This was created by Mysticus, please enjoy! AppleHDA_ALC_272.zip Update: Above pkg only works on Leopard. Causes kernel panic on SL. SL instructions below. Hello, this does't work on my system (http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.5.8/Portables#Samsung). I deleted the existing AppleHDA.kext and HDAEnabler.kext, but there are still no sound devices in system preferences. I am using iDeneb 1.6 10.5.8 with the original Vanilla Kernel 9.8.0. What can I do? Dmesg says twice that audio was loadet but I don't see any sound symbol. minoas
Found a very simple solution to get ALC272 working on SL 10.6.1. VoodooHDA.kext 64bit works like a charm. Kudos to the makers. Dowload attached kext. Backup your original AppleHDA.kext and then delete the one in your Extensions folder. Use Kexthelper or your own method to install VoodooHDA.kext to your /System/Library/Extensions. Repair permissions and reboot. You should now have fully funtional sound and sound ports! That HDA as well as any VoodooHDA produces kernel panel in my SL retail install 10.6 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03) Codec: Realtek ALC272 I have yet to find any working kext for it.
