de_autojohn
Hi guys ! God damn I love the iphone, but here in belgium it is a little bit expensive... What if I would buy one from the usa on ebay? There are a lot cheap iphones on ebay and let it forward to me? www.myus.com my questions: if I find a iphone from around the 250-300 dollar or 200 euro how much would it cost me to get it here? Will I have to pay import taxes and {censored} like that? And if yes: also when I have a belgian vat number? Thx guys

nate256
I dont think you would have to pay import taxes and if you do you could send it as a gift. But iPhones (3G) on Ebay go for more than that like around 4 to start. Unless you are going with the first Gen.

Baudouin
For any commercial article, not sample or gift with a value above thirty euro the taxes rate is 33% . The customs are opening the package some times to check the inside. So you can be lucky or not to get your iphone as a gift without paying any taxes.
