Minishlink
Hi all First of all, I would to say that I'm french so I apologize for my poor english. So, I installed Mac OS X86 with iATKOS 5i and it installed great ! I booted it then, and it was blocked with the Apple on grey, so I reboot in verbose mode (-v) and I saw a warning for AppleAHCI (something like) and then "Still waiting for root device". So I searched through the internet and I tried to do that but drivers are not on my CD (there is no directory named Extensions, only a Extensions.mkext file on my DVD ...). So my question are : - Is this the good solution (that's because of my SATA controller) ? - If yes, where can I get some drivers which can solve my problem ? Here's what I get in "Computer>Manage..." in Vista : Intel 82801 HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller Intel ICH8M Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 2850 Thank you
Minishlink
Well, I followed that with another DVD and I don't have anymore the warnings with AppleAHCI, though"Still waiting for root device" is present... What can I do ?

Minishlink
Well, I didn't enable the AHCI in BIOS since I don't know how to switch it on : can you explain me please ? Edit: At least AHCI is enabled because it appears AHCI in the device manager by following this determination method : http://pastebin.com/m5a7b2679

westwaerts
1. it is a very common error, that DVD Drives are not recognized by the install disk. ( depends on motherboard, install dvd ( kaly, iatkos, retail, ideneb, chameleon, etc.) 2. specify on which machine ( all parts) you try to install and with which install dvd then, you could be helped
