Noob here:

I have a 400F that loads but the speaker volume icon does not work, I get a message 400F has no input/output controls.

I would like to know how to apply a patch. I read the max's sites and do not understand. I have a JaS patch which is supposed to fix the on-board AC97 audio, yet I do not know how to apply the patch.

Furthermore I have a Radeon Pro 9800 and it's very choppy.

Will downloading the 10.4.5 solve any of these issues or can someone hand hold me and get my mackie, on-board and graphics card to work?

AMD Gigabyte K8NS or do I need a Intel SSE3 processor motherboard/chipset?
