Define partition in free space

In going through the setup process, I created 4 partitions: Windows (FAT32), OSX (HFS+), OSX swap (HFS+), and a personal files partition (FAT32). During the Windows install process, the FAT32 partitions are erased. Using the little reset trick, I was able to get Windows installed correctly on the first FAT32 one, but the last one was deleted and marked as free space. Is there a way (within OSX or Windows) to define a partition in that space (I'd prefer FAT32 or NTFS) and use it without having to repartition and delete the partitions I have already?

PartitionMagic does not work, because it sees the partition table as corrupt. Acronis does not let you create new partitions, from the looks of it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

I have noticed it make a difference, and there have been reports online over the years regarding the speedup. I have 2GB of RAM also, but I like to squeeze every little bit of performance I can get. I used Xupport to move the swapfile to another partition.

Now, can anyone answer my question?
