brendankoch
I installed windows xp on my macbook yesterday according to the instructions, but today I saw that you can put media center edition on now. I don't want to have to reformat the whole hard drive and install os x again. I just want to erase the windows xp pro partition and reinstall media center edition on that partition. I tried formatting the ntfs partition in osx, and from booting up with the install cd but it wouldn't let me. The only way I can do anything to the partition is through the windows xp install disk but the instructions say not to touch the partitions with the windows cd or it will screw everything up. Does anyone know how to format the NTFS partition without erasing the entire drive?
macgirl
Boot in Target Disk Mode, then connect your macbook to a PC, on the PC you can format the NTFS partition even with a DOS command.
