Morning to you all,

This is my first post to insanelymac.com thx to TotallyBonkers wireless fix, sux I have to ask a question like this @$%, im also a linux/pc guy so please dont flame me.

Ok here is my dilemma, I am trying to get a media laptop ready for a friend who is into Motu Digital Performer. He asked me if I could get him the current version of the applications which I did "then it was 5.1" and try to install it on his machine.

But when he brings the laptop in... shocker!!! its an ibook Dual USB

Ok, so now I have an ibook running 9.1.1 so I pop in the disk for giggles and I get my first error.

"Motu can only run on a 10.2 or higher"

So I go get a copy of 10.2 and install it onto the laptop which took me a week thanks to random errors mounting the disk during reboot. So I get the laptop to work on 10.2, pop in the disk and get this error.

"Motu can only run on 10.3 or higher"

Now why it didnt tell me this in the first place is beyond me but after a quick upgrade to 10.3 and another error.... so then an upgrade to 10.3.9 I was finally at the correct minimum version. So I pop my disk in and viola... error.

"Moto must have a G4 processor to run"

Well after some research and a day of searching I realize that Motu DP 4.5 is harder to find that the holy grail (im stuck at 18.4%)

So Im forced to ask this question. Is there a known process which I can utilize so I can get this applications to bypass its Hardware check. Seems out there but I had to ask....

Unless anyone knows of an available version of 4.5 out there?

Any response is much appreciated
