HigherBe1ng Posted July 27, 2008 Share Posted July 27, 2008 Ok, I'm not gonna lie, I'm a total newbie to this, but I did try to do some research, and still i have some questions, first my specs just in case Processor Type: Core 2 Duo Processor Number: T5200 Processor Speed: 1.60GHz Memory Size: 2048MB Display Size: 17.0" Display Type: Widescreen XGA+ with TruBrite™ Technology Display Resolution: 1440x900 Graphics Chipset: Graphics Media Accelerator 950 Graphics Memory: 32MB-128MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory Wireless LAN:Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a/b/g) Audio :harman/kardon stereo speakers, SRS WOW stereo sound, SRS TruSurround XT virtual surround sound, Microphone jack (mono), Headphone jack (stereo) So After installing Kalaway 10.5.2 it seemed to run awefully slow, and i did the cpus=1 trick and that seems to make it run a heck of a lot faster, unfortunately, it doesnt seem to remember that setting and everytime i reboot i have to enter that, is there a way to make it stick? Secondly, I get no sound, no ethernet, no wifi or anything else... I plugged up my iPhone hoping it would show in iTunes, and it didnt, i did see though in the "About this Mac" screen that it detected some kind of sound card, as well as the iphone... Am i doing something wrong? Thridly, the Wifi issue seems to be because intel doesnt work with OSX (or Linux for that matter) I remember my old p35-s609 having a Atheros Wifi card, can I just swap those 2 cards?
